Questions we are asked
Do you offer mold testing?
Yes. Mold assessment and testing are carried out under Florida DBPR Mold Assessor license MRSA3298, held by Mauricio Gutierrez. Call (754) 703-8317 to arrange an inspection.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Two Florida DBPR licenses, both current: Mold Assessor MRSA3298 and Mold Remediator MRSR3880. You can check either number yourself at MyFloridaLicense.com.
Do you offer mold removal?
Yes, under Mold Remediator license MRSR3880. On any given project we perform either assessment or remediation, not both.
Why can you not do both on my project?
Florida licenses the two activities separately, so the party deciding how much work is needed is not the party paid to carry it out. It is a protection for you.
Do I always need samples taken?
No. If growth is visible and the moisture source is obvious, sampling often just confirms what you can already see. We will tell you when it would not add anything.
Can you tell me whether mold is affecting my health?
No. We assess buildings, not people, and we are not qualified to give medical opinions. Health questions belong with a doctor.
Will the mold come back?
It can, if the water source is not corrected. Removal deals with the material, not with the leak that caused it.
