What we hold
Florida Mold Assessor
MRSA3298
Covers inspection, moisture investigation, sampling and written assessment. Held by Mauricio Gutierrez.
Florida Mold Remediator
MRSR3880
Covers containment, removal of affected material, cleaning and drying. Held by Mauricio Gutierrez.
How to check them
Go to MyFloridaLicense.com, choose to search by license number, and enter MRSA3298 or MRSR3880. The register shows the holder's name, the status and the expiry date, straight from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
We would rather you did that than took a photograph of a certificate at face value. A printed document shows what was true on the day it was issued; the register shows what is true today.
Florida licenses people, not companies
For mold assessment and mold remediation, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation issues licenses to individuals. There is no such thing as a DBPR mold business license, so any company describing itself that way is describing something that does not exist.
Our work is performed under the two licenses above, both held by Mauricio Gutierrez. We say it that way because it is the accurate way to say it.
Two licenses, one role per project
Florida separates assessment from remediation deliberately: the party deciding how much work is needed should not be the party paid to carry it out. We hold both licenses, and on any single project we take one role only.
If we assess your property, an independent remediator does the removal. If we do the removal, an independent assessor verifies it. We will tell you which applies before anything is quoted.
License questions
Are you certified as well as licensed?
We list only what we can evidence, and what we can evidence is the two Florida DBPR licenses above. If we hold anything else worth stating, it will appear here with a number you can check — not as a logo.
Why do you not show certificates on the site?
Because a certificate image shows a moment in the past, and a license register shows the present. Two of the documents previously displayed on this site had in fact expired. The register is the better answer for you.
Is the company insured?
We are not making an insurance claim on this website. If insurance status matters to your project, ask us directly and we will give you a straight answer in writing.
Can you work outside Florida?
These licenses are issued by the State of Florida and apply in Florida.
